Wolseley Medical Centre

The Springbank Practice in Hull was based in an old Victorian property that the practice had outgrown.

After looking at the area and the options available Prime, along with the GPs, agreed on developing a disused former school site. Its location was close to the current surgery building and easily accessible for patients, however as the main railway line into Hull also ran along the rear boundary the development team needed to work closely with Network Rail to ensure safe working practices. The finished surgery building has a simple and efficient design, in keeping with the local residential area, it also incorporates some of the stained glass windows from the old building, as per users’ wishes. Much of the Victorian brickwork from the old school has been reused around the boundary giving an established feel to the site. The newly named Wolseley Medical Centre contains a number of consulting and treatments rooms including a minor surgery suite, while a dedicated pharmacy enhances the offer to the local community.
