Tile Hill Primary Care Centre

Tile Hill Primary Care Centre combines three GP practices with additional health and community services, providing a purpose-built facility that offers increased space and the flexibility required for modern primary care.

Developed on a central site at the heart of Tile Hill, the new centre maintains the familiarity and accessibility that was so important to patients, while providing the facilities to help address health inequalities at their roots.

With a need to relocate the surgeries throughout the duration of the build, Prime used its development expertise to construct a temporary complex on nearby land, providing extra space for the GPs, minimising disruption to patient care and ensuring a clear site for construction of the new centre.

The resulting building offers maximum space on a confined urban site and ensures flexibility for future use. Three separate surgery areas have allowed each GP practice to maintain their individual identity, while careful space planning has provided additional space for PCT offices, a children’s dental suite and accommodation for a number of local healthcare teams. The inclusion of a community police base within the centre has also halved local crime rates within the first six months of opening, demonstrating the importance of the project for the local community.
