The Prime Foundation are encouraging community groups in Surrey to apply for grant funding of up to £20,000 to support projects or initiatives that improve lives in the local area.
The Foundation invests in communities where Prime has constructed new health and care facilities by allocating a portion of profit generated, giving charities and groups the chance to apply for funding for projects which enhance life in the local community. In Guildford, Prime recently developed a new multi-storey staff car park at Royal Surrey County Hospital. Next door, Prime are developing a state-of-the-art cancer care centre in partnership with GenesisCare, set to open early in 2024.
Any group or charity based in the county of Surrey with a project or initiative that aligns with the foundation’s objectives; advancing education outside of the classroom, promoting physical and mental well-being, and furthering social well-being through recreational activities, will be considered for full or partial funding.
Last year, in Worcestershire, a school were granted funding to create a nature path by their main entrance, complete with educational signage and wildlife-attracting flora and fauna. Hayley Tarbet, PTA member at Far Forest Lea Memorial CE Primary Academy, said: “This grant has helped us to improve the main entrance to the school playground. We have used the grant to buy plants for the borders, screening for the fence, colourful plaques and improve the step onto the playground to make it safer for our school community. We are so grateful for this grant and know that the work carried out will grow into a beautiful area for all to enjoy for many years to come.”
Leighton Chumbley, spokesperson for the Prime Foundation, said “We aim to create lasting positive change through our developments and are thrilled to be able to give the people of Surrey the opportunity to apply for investment in their community. We look forward to reading submissions.”
Applications for funding are currently open and will remain so until the deadline of August 18th, 2023. For more information or to submit an application, please click here.
