Prime has been named a finalist in the esteemed ‘Developer of the Year’ category at the 2024 HealthInvestor Awards. This marks the fifth consecutive year that we have made the finalist shortlist, reaffirming our commitment to excellence in the health and care.
Leighton Chumbley, Chief Executive at Prime, said: “Being named a finalist is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of our exceptional team at Prime. It reflects our collective vision to pioneer transformative healthcare infrastructure that not only meets but exceeds the evolving needs of patients and healthcare providers.
“Our ability to produce some of the most intricate and state-of-the-art buildings in the sector underscores our relentless pursuit of excellence. These projects are not merely structures; they represent our commitment to delivering the highest level of care and treatment to patients, setting new benchmarks for healthcare delivery.
“This recognition energises us to continue pushing boundaries, embracing innovation and leveraging our technical expertise to shape the future of healthcare. I am immensely proud of what our team has achieved, and this nomination serves as a testament to their tireless efforts and passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
One project the submission shone a light on was The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. With a significant £100 million investment, this hospital, operated by HCA Healthcare UK, now offers a comprehensive range of independent healthcare services previously unavailable in the region. Through our partnership with the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, we have also expanded access to high-quality care for both private and NHS patients, with an additional 72 dedicated inpatient beds.
Our technical expertise is further demonstrated in projects such as the state-of-the-art GenesisCare Cancer Centre facility in Guildford. Spanning 24,300 square feet and equipped with advanced oncology treatments, this facility represents the pinnacle of innovation in healthcare delivery.
Beyond project completions, our ongoing work at the Adanac Health and Innovation Campus in Southampton showcases our commitment to innovation. Projects such as the sterile services department and aseptic pharmacy highlight our ability to merge complex requirements seamlessly, providing value-added solutions for our clients.
The winners of the HealthInvestor Awards will be determined by an independent panel of distinguished judges and announced during a gala dinner on June 6th at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London. As finalists, we are honoured to be recognised for our contributions to the industry and remain committed to driving positive change in the years to come.
