Prime has been named ‘Developer of the Year’ at the HealthInvestor Awards 2023, winning the award for the fourth year in a row.
The HealthInvestor Awards promote excellence and recognise outstanding performance in the healthcare sector. The Developer of the Year award recognises an organisation living its values and working with integrity and commitment to deliver positive change for its clients.
Leighton Chumbley, Prime’s Chief Executive, said: “To win this award once was a fantastic achievement. To win in successive years is a very special accolade to the amazing team we have within Prime and a testament to their sustained commitment and innovative approach to delivering projects that make a difference.
“Getting vital healthcare projects built over recent years has been extremely difficult as the sector has not been immune to wider economic and political influences. It is the relationships we have with our NHS and independent sector partners that have been the key to our continued success. We stand shoulder to shoulder, work through problems together and get results. A big thank you to all of those organisations we have and are currently working with. This award is as much yours as it is ours.”
The award was presented to Prime at a black-tie ceremony at Grosvenor House in London. The judges recognised that “Prime has continued its major contribution to healthcare infrastructure with the development of a diversity of project types while maintaining an impressive commitment to wider social and environmental objectives.”
In 2022, while achieving record gross earnings, Prime was proud to certify as a B Corporation joining a global group of highly successful companies reinventing business by pursuing Purpose as well as Profit. Becoming a B Corp was a strategic objective for Prime, using lessons learnt from communities to positively evolve the health and care property sector.
Alongside major infrastructure projects, the award entry also highlighted Prime’s efforts to address the significant issue of providing good-quality living accommodation for key workers, as exemplified by the successful completion of Alexandra House in Dorchester. This is Prime’s second specialised key worker project and the first that Prime’s sister company Hyve operates.
