The Tandridge Canoe & Kayak Club (TCKC), a volunteer-run community sports club in rural East Surrey, has been providing youth-focused canoe polo activities for 30 years.
TCKC was able to replace its outdated equipment with a new fleet of kayaks thanks to grant funding from the Prime Foundation, allowing their junior teams to finally compete in local leagues.
This upgrade has not only enhanced the club’s competitiveness but also encouraged young people to join in further within the sport, building their confidence individually and as a team. The club plans to repurpose their old boats for open-water sessions at a nearby lake, expanding opportunities for its members.
“There was great excitement on Sunday evening when we turned up to canoe polo with the new boats!... Thank you again so much for your support.’”
