Building Manuals
You’ll receive a set of building manuals from the contractor. These contain full information about the methods and systems used in the construction of your building, who installed what, as well as a set of building plans and drawings.
It’s important to keep these manuals safe - they include information that you and visiting contractors will need to refer to in order to make repairs.
Mechanical installations, like lifts and boilers, are covered in the Operating & Maintenance (O&M) file. You’ll need to familiarise yourself with the manuals, to make sure that the correct maintenance regime, as recommended by the manufacturer, is carried out. Please contact us if you have any questions about this or if you would like help with planning your maintenance regime. You can also use our Good Maintenance Guide.
